Douglas Lethbridge

For me, security was a 2nd career!

Initially I gained a degree in Business Organisation and became a qualified accounting technician. In 2008, I made a gradual transition into the security industry, starting as a part-time event security, before going full-time in 2011 and working my way up to senior management level.

During my years in security, I have gained experience in a variety of different areas, including corporate manned guarding, large events, and venue security. Just as happy working in small intimate venues as I am at large festivals or stadia, most times you’ll find me working backstage, VIP, or control room liaison.

As a member of the Security Institute, I am a firm believer in continuous professional development, so I have further enhanced my skillset by achieving a Level 4 Certificate & Level 5 Award in Crowd Safety Management and a Level 6 Diploma in Security Management. As a qualified close protection operative, I am also a qualified First Responder.

Not content with just security related qualifications, I have also expanded my knowledge base within Consulting, Health & Safety, Risk Management and Business Continuity.
