First Aid Courses

A first aid course is essential for everyone to obtain skills that you never know when you may need. We recommend first aid training for all those who work in security and beyond, to have the confidence to act in a potentially life-threatening situation.

You can join one of our courses at our Headquarters in Arundel, West Sussex - a safe environment that offers free, secure parking. Alternatively, we can carry out the training within your workplace at a convenient time for you and your team.

Our friendly, qualified Trainer and team will welcome you and make sure you are settled. We offer a calm environment to learn with plenty of refreshment breaks (free tea/coffee) and break out areas. We can provide lunch for you for just an additional £6 per person.

First Aid at Work (FAW)

3 day course

This course provides a thorough first aid training – suitable for those working in high-risk environments, such as building sites or warehouses.

Includes the following training:

Adult resuscitation (CPR)

Allergic reaction

Asthma

Bone, muscle and joint injuries

Burns and scalds

Chest pains

Choking adult

Communication and casualty care

Eye injuries

Fainting

Head injuries

Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)

Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)

Low blood sugar

Managing an emergency

Minor and severe bleeding

Poisons and what to do if someone has been poisoned

Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)

Seizures

Shock

Spinal injuries

Stroke

Unresponsive adult

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

1 day course

This course is for those who require training in emergency first aid. It is suitable for those who are nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments such as offices, reception, front of house. The course covers first aid protocols for adult casualties only.

Includes the following training:

Adult resuscitation (CPR)

Burns and scalds

Choking adult

Communication and casualty care

Defibrillator prompts and how to respond (theory based)

Defibrillator pad placement (theory based)

Minor and severe bleeding

Role of the first aider (including knowledge of health and safety regulations)

Seizures

Shock

Unresponsive adult

First Aid at Work – Requalification

2 day course

This course is for people who wish to renew an existing First Aid at Work certificate. If your certificate has expired, you can still take part in this course, but the HSE recommends you attend the First Aid at Work (3-day course) if more than a month has elapsed. This course is an intensive course with little practice time and is specifically for people whose certificate is still in date. You will be required to work at the pace of the course.
