We offer a split down course of modules for the Close Protection Course that can be done over a period of 5-6months. It is still the same price £2100.  We offer a pay as you learn scheme for those who wish to be able to spread the costs to suit their budgets and allocation of time.  -

Days 4-5 Principles of Working as a CPO in PSI

Days 6-7 Principles of Working as a CPO in PSI

Days 8-9 Principles of Working as CPO in PSI + Exam

Days 10-11 Working as a CPO

Days 12-13 Working as a CPO

Days 14-15 Working as a CPO + Exam

Days 16-17 Conflict Management / TTA + Exam

Days 18-19 – Working as a DS / DS Physical Intervention + Exam

Days 20-21 Close protection PI + Exam

0900 – Welcome, housekeeping, introduction and ice breaker

0930 – Introduction to the role of a close protection operative, what we do, why we train and SIA standards 

1015 – Break  

1030 - Breakdown of the course into what you will learn from each section giving a taster of foot drills

1200 – Taster of vehicle checks and why we do them, route planning and debus and embus techniques

1300 – Lunch  

1330 – Physical intervention

1530 – Break  

1545 – Questions and answers sessions  

1630 – Debrief, feedback and end of course

You will need to dress smart casual for the day and bring a change of clothes for the Physical Intervention training (gym wear). A light lunch is included with refreshments, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch.

The taster day takes place at our training centre in Arundel - BN18 0DF.

As well as this as part of the AP Security Close Protection course, we specialise in and provide added qualifications -

• Level 2 award in Vehicle Searching
• Level 2 award in Behavioural Analysis of Events, Individuals, and Crowds

The new Close Protection top up to meet the new SIA renewal requirements. Learn the skills required to work as a Door Supervisor and the new Close Protection Physical Intervention Skills.

Course Details:

Principles of Terror Threat Awareness in the Private Security Industry, working as a Door Supervisor for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry, application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry, application of Physical Intervention Skills for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry.

In order to participate and complete the course all candidates must be: a minimum of 18 years of age, hold a current SIA close protection licence, have a good comprehension of the English language, all students must hold a regulated 3 day first aid at work (FAW) with OFQUAL logo as a minimum with 12 months remaining.
