Close Protection Taster Day

Come along to our Close Protection Taster Day and find out more about the SIA Level 3 Close Protection course.

A.P. Security are pleased to announce they will be holding a Close Protection Taster Day on Friday 15th December 2023 at their training centre in Arundel, West Sussex.

The taster day will give you the opportunity to meet the training team and find out about the SIA Level 3 Close Protection course, as well as the qualifications you will gain in order to apply for your SIA Close Protection Licence.

Taster Day Schedule

The taster day will run from 9am to approximately 5pm and include the following:

09:00 – Welcome, housekeeping, introduction and ice-breaker

09:30 – Introduction to the role of a close protection operative, what we do, why we train and SIA standards

10:15 – Break  

10:30 - Breakdown of the course into what you will learn from each section giving a taster of foot drills

12:00 – Taster of vehicle checks and why we do them, route planning and debus and embus techniques

13:00 – Lunch  

13:30 – Physical intervention

15:30 – Break  

15:45 – Questions and answers sessions  

16:30 – Debrief & feedback

We ask participants to the taster day to dress smart casual and bring a change of clothes for the physical intervention training (gym wear would be ideal). A light lunch will be provided with refreshments, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
