A.P. Security are elated to have been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award. The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) encourages businesses to promote defence and urge other people to do the same. The Armed Forces Covenant is a commitment by our nation to honour those who have served, or who are currently serving within the armed forces, especially those who are bereaved or injured. These awards are given to organisations who have shown that they are supporting the Armed Forces Covenant and the Armed Forces.
We ensure the covenant is honoured by making sure that no member of the Armed Forces Community who applies for a job at our company, faces any disadvantage in comparison to other citizens who apply for a role and are then employed. Special consideration may be provided, where needed in certain scenarios.
In our experience, the Military training actually enhances the core skillset that we need within our business because it needs teamwork, perseverance, confidence and the ability to work under pressure. We employ Reservists who are amazing team members because they are committed, fit and proactive. Many of these individuals have had to work in situations that needed balanced judgement, understanding, devotion, decency and strength of character. We have discovered that those who have had experience in the Military, have outstanding personality traits including leadership skills, respect and morale, and all these skills are transferrable into any role.
To have achieved the Silver Award, we had to show the following:
We had to show that the Armed Forces community were in no way disadvantaged within our recruitment and selection process
We have to proactively work at making sure the workforce knows our positive policies relating to issues for the Armed Forces
In relation to Reserves, A.P. Security had to demonstrate that we supported mobilisations and that there was a framework in place. We had to show how we supported training, by providing a minimum of 5 days additional leave
We were not allowed to have been subject of any negative media PR

A.P. Security Have Signed the Police Industry Charter
A.P. Security has signed the Police Industry Charter. The Charter, managed by BlueLight Commercial and several key policing bodies, promotes strategic collaboration, interoperability, and transparency.
A.P. executives Liam Mulkeirins and Diane Mulkeirins are actively involved as volunteer cadet instructors, highlighting the company's dedication to community service .
AP Security (APS) Ltd currently holds SIA Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) status for the provision of Security Guarding, Door Supervision and Key Holding.
