Chris started his career in a turnstile at Wembley Stadium during Live Aid in 1985. He got the bug working the Stadium and worked his way up to being part of the Security Management team for Euro 96. He was also a main player at Wembley Arena for the same period, where he became Head of Security from 1996-2000.
Now, as AP Security’s Southern Regional Manager, he oversees the day-to-day planning of the operations department and is heavily involved in the preparation and planning of some of the company’s largest and most prestigious events including the Isle of Wight Festival, Rewind Festivals, and the Henley Festival of Music and Arts, to name a few.
Chris is also the Head of Security for the legendary O2 Academy Brixton, a role he has kept for a very proud 11 years. Chris still has the bug for live events and enjoys the challenges that it brings. His wife has always said that when he retires he should write a book on the last 27 years in the industry, but he is a true professional and probably won't!
A long-suffering Luton Town fan, he is longing for the good times to return. It is proving to be a long wait...
