Vacancy for a Portfolio Manager based in London


A.P. Security has an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to join our senior management team as a Portfolio Manager, to manage our service delivery to a small number of key clients.   The posts will be based in London. Our Portfolio Manager is accountable for all aspects of our contracts and play a pivotal role in one of the largest, independently owned, event stewarding & security companies in the UK.


The Role:

Responsibilities include managing, on a 365-basis, all aspects of service delivery to a small number of clients, full inter-company liaison with other departments such as Finance, HR and so on in support of the held portfolio, as well as working within a larger team to support other Portfolio Managers and input to large-scale and ad-hoc projects as required.

The position is based at our Watford Head Office although it is expected that the successful applicant will be able to travel to all their clients on a regular basis, can demonstrate the discipline to work from home if required, and can support other Portfolio Managers and large-scale events on a national basis.

A Portfolio Manager is, typically, responsible and accountable for maintaining year round relationships with existing clients within their portfolio and managing, via support functions within the Company, all planning, logistical support, staffing, operational management, payroll, invoicing, post event debriefing and ongoing liaison with each client or event.

The Successful candidate will:

 - Bring with them experience from service-sector industry, ideally but not essentially from, the live events sub-sector;

 - Ideally be educated to degree level;

 - Demonstrate the ability to lead a team of both management and operational staff at high profile live events;

 - Demonstrate the ability to support all other colleagues in delivering Company objectives, on occasions fitting into a separate team in a non-leadership role;

 - Be willing to travel and work weekends;

 - Possess a clean driving license and, ideally, own their own vehicle.
